I did both masters and doctorate at Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague, mostly studying turtles. During masters I have received merit scholarship and graduated summa cum laude. During doctoral studies I was elected member of student’s chamber of the Senate of Faculty of Science. My dissertation thesis has been nominated to Dean’s award and received Dean’s merit cum laude in 2019.

 
I have been employed in the National Museum (2016 – 2019). There we established and certified the “Methods for storing and archiving zoological tissue collections, and identification based on DNA barcoding”. I have also studied there the genetic diversity of salamanders and European pond turtles. I have co-authored exposition “The Gene Age” in the National Museum, Prague.

In May 2019 I have joined as postdoctoral fellow Hof’s Lab at the Department of Biophysical Chemistry, Jaroslav Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences. There I have been employed until May 2020 and have been responsible for confocal and super-resolution microscopy, image processing and analyses, and statistical analyses of the results.

 
In May 2020 I became member of Department of Philosophy and History of Science, Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague.

I am interested in animal behavior and animal coloration. The tools we will be using are microscopy (both light and electron), spectrophotometry and UV/VIS photography, and image analyses. I am collaborating with multiple groups home and abroad, e. g. with Ethology lab of Prof. Enrique Font at University of Valencia where I am currently on a research stay until end of 2022.
